This month we are showcasing our beautiful Luxe Bride Elizabeth and her husband Matthew. Elizabeth and Matthew were married in August of 2023 at Northern Pacific Center in the beautiful Glacier National Park! Here is their story including Elizabeth’s journey to becoming a Luxe Bride!

Tell us about your proposal!

It was 2 days before Christmas. He had asked if I wanted to open presents early. Once we were done opening gifts, he got down on one knee and proposed in our first home we purchased together years prior. I was crying so hard I didn't hear a single word he said LOL. I just stood there bawling and I mean BAWLING. I asked him to repeat it and still didn't hear because I couldn't keep it together. He asked if it was a yes because I couldn't believe it was finally happening after 5 years! Of course I said yes!

Describe your bridal style and tell us about your dress shopping experience! Did you leave with the gown you envisioned yourself in, or something different?

My vision I wanted was minimal/ boho. I initially went in thinking I wanted an A-line satin dress or something very boho inspired. Suzanne was very attentive. She made me feel so comfortable and beautiful! Her patience was unmatched. I tried on 7-8 dresses- then wanted to re-try on a few to narrow down. My sister explained to Suzanne which parts of dresses I liked from 2 and grabbed a gown that had a little of both! It was minimal on the bottom, but very boho on the top. The train was also a moment. It was like the dress was specifically for me. It was fitted, but it hit my curves perfectly. So if I had to say did I leave with what I envisioned? Not entirely, but way better than what I could have imagined for myself!

Tell us more about your wedding. What was your theme and color scheme? What were your flowers? How did you make your wedding personal to your love story?

We had a very small wedding in Glacier National Park, MT. I wanted my flowers to be white and ivory because the view around us was already captivating. I went with dried florals. Pampas grass, preserved roses, palms, hydrangea, straw flower, and bunny tail grass. They were exactly what I envisioned for my day. Everything about our wedding week was just so us. I wore white and ivory hiking boots to wear under my dress since we were walking/ climbing for photos. We brought our camper and stayed there to just relax leading up to the big day. I asked my sister to drop off pizza at our camper so once we got back we could eat pizza and recap our wedding day together. Matthew and I visited GNP in July of 2020. While we were there we both knew that is where we wanted to get married one day. It is just such a magical place and it will now hold such a very special place in our hearts.

What was the most special memory from the day?

I have two very special moments from our day. The first- We woke up really early and left our campsite to go get breakfast, just us two. We sat on the front porch of the cafe after and just took in the slow morning. We stopped into a shop just at the entrance of Glacier National Park. We bought matching GNP socks to wear for our day.  The second- After our ceremony, we found a wildflower meadow. We walked down through it and there was a huge rock we climbed up to stand on in the middle of the wildflowers. We did our private vows with just us two during sunset there. It was emotional, beautiful, and everything in between. I will never forget that moment.
