Luxe Bride Bree + Travis

This beautiful couple may have had a rocky start to their wedding day, but that didn’t stop them from having an absolutely amazing wedding day. Bree got married in the beautiful Essense of Australia style D3406, the perfect dress for a hot air balloon wedding! Here’s a closer look at their wedding story.

Tell us about the proposal!

We got engaged on October 2nd. We went for a walk through the park, and when we got to an area where it overlooked the lake I turned to tell Travis to look and he was down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I definitely teared up but didn’t hesitate to say yes.

Describe your bridal style. How did you want to look on your wedding day? Tell us about your dress shopping experience.

I had the most wonderful experience with Gianna. I came in, being a plus size bride I was pretty nervous but I felt so comfortable with everyone there! I definitely left with the dress I envisioned. It was absolutely beautiful with the appliqués and all the layers.

Tell us more about your wedding. What was your theme and color scheme? How did you make your wedding personal to your love story?

For our wedding, we eloped and then got married in Phoenix, Arizona with Rainbow Ryders, a hot air balloon company! My flowers were absolutely gorgeous. My lovely grandmother made them for us. Our colors were blue and white since Travis’ favorite color is blue. One sweet detail from our big day is that we got married exactly 6 years after we started dating. We started dating on March 18th, 2017, and got married on March 18th, 2023.

What was the most special memory from the day?

The most special moment was exchanging our vows. Travis isn’t known for expressing his feelings very well, but he did so amazing on the vows. We actually forgot our bow books at the house and had to turn around to go get them, which made us late for our own wedding. Our wedding ended up being a pretty stressful day, but was definitely with all the trouble. We were arranged to be married during a sunset flight, however, the company emailed me the day before saying they had to cancel because the wind would be too bad to fly. So we chose to move it to that afternoon, again were told that the wind might still be too bad to fly. The afternoon wedding ended up happening, at the last minute we couldn’t go up in the air because the wind was too bad. But despite all that, we still got married and that is all that mattered to me.

Congrats Bree + Travis
