Hello gorgeous Luxe babes, both present and future! Today is the very first day of a new project we are starting here at Luxe to help our brides through the exciting wedding dress shopping experience…a blog! Before we get into what to expect from the blog, let’s talk a little bit about the history of Luxe!!
Luxe Bridal was started back in 2012 by our owner, Shayna Clute. During her time as a wedding planner, she heard countless stories of brides being squeezed into sample gowns that were too small, becoming frustrated by the lack of service and selection or, worse yet, forced to order their wedding dress online. Why were so many brides being excluded from this once in a lifetime experience? Fast forward a few years later and here we are! Minnesota’s only bridal gown boutique specializing in mid-size/plus-size brides! What does it mean to be an exclusively mid-size/plus-size bridal store? That means that while we can order a dress anywhere from a bridal size 2 to a bridal size 34, the sample dresses we carry in store to try on are going to range from a bridal size 16 to a bridal size 34! At Luxe we are firm believers that every bride deserves a whole store to choose from and try on, not just one small rack in the back. Luxe is dedicated to providing the ultimate bridal gown shopping experience to every bride we meet. Shopping for and finding your wedding gown should be an exciting and memorable experience, and we want to make sure that every bride has that special moment!
Now back to the blog! Our goal for this blog is to show off our beautiful brides and gorgeous dresses, while also providing tips, tricks, and advice on how to shop for your wedding dress. Every week we will be showcasing a “Dress of the Week” and posting a “Special Topic”. These special topics can range anywhere from preparing for your appointment to understanding different fits of gowns and everything in between! Without a doubt our favorite part of our work is all of the beautiful and amazing brides that have become part of the Luxe fam over the past 12 years! That is why every month we will be showcasing a real Luxe bride by showing off their wedding and sharing the story of their relationship and wedding journey.
